who it’s for

The training is for you if…

Most people come to us with one of these four things.

  • You have tried ChatGPT but don’t know where it would fit in your work. We work with everyday tasks: emails, quotes, spreadsheets and reports.
  • AI answers, but you have to fix the answer every time. We learn to give context and an example so that the first version is already usable.
  • You don’t know what data you can put into AI. Covered in the very first session: what never to put into a chat and where AI makes mistakes.
  • It seems others already use it, but you don’t yet. We start from the basics; no prior knowledge is needed.

Who teaches

Edgars Kārkliņš · leads product development at ozofox · head of RIGA COMPUTER 2013–2023

More than ten years of implementing systems in companies and teaching people to work with them.

From 2013 to 2023 Edgars founded and ran the IT outsourcing company RIGA COMPUTER: servers, networks, security, workstations and centralized systems for dozens of Latvian companies — implemented, maintained and, most importantly, taught to the people who worked with them every day. Companies he has worked with: INDEXO, Fortis Legal, Martas centrs, Arkolat, Cita Santehnika, Diamed and others.

Since 2025 he has been building AI products himself — phone and email assistants, an AI accountant, a small CRM — and works with Claude and other AI tools every day.

Three principles

  • We teach with what we use ourselves. Every example in the training is something we did in our own work this month — not a slide from a course bought abroad.
  • Plain language. On day one there are no “tokens” or “large language models”. The terms come when they are needed; the work comes first.
  • Honest about the limits. Where AI makes mistakes, where a person has to sign, what we would not trust it with ourselves.

Tips and ready-made AI prompts

Ready-made prompts to paste into Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini and adapt to your needs. Replace the parts in square brackets with your own. Every month we add new ones — about what we did ourselves.

Getting started · a good prompt

Four things that turn a generic answer into a finished document

Role (who the AI is), context (who you are and who you are writing to), example (how you like it) and format (length, language, structure). At the end, add a request to ask questions first — that prevents half of the mistakes.

Prompt
You are [role — e.g. an experienced sales manager in Latvia].
Context: we are [who we are, what we do], we are writing to [whom], the goal is [what we want to achieve].
Task: [what needs to be done].
An example of how we like it: [paste a sample].
Format: [length, in English, structure, formal tone].
If anything is unclear, first ask me three questions and only then write.
Website · with Claude

How to make a one-page website with AI, without a developer

Ask for everything in one HTML file — then you can open it on your computer and put it online for free (Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages). After the first version, change one thing at a time: “change the color”, “shorten the opening”, “add a section”.

Prompt
Make a one-page website for the company [name], which [what it does] [where].
Who it is for: [who the customer is].
Sections: an opening with one clear sentence on what we do; three services with prices [paste]; how the work goes in three steps; about us [2–3 sentences]; contacts [phone, email, address].
Language: English, simple, without jargon. Clean, light design, one accent color [e.g. #F0661A], easy to read on a phone.
Everything in one HTML file with embedded CSS, no external libraries.
Then tell me step by step how to put it online for free (Cloudflare Pages or GitHub Pages) and how to connect my own domain.
Emails · reply to a client

A reply to a complaint that calms things down instead of making excuses

Give it the client’s full message and say what tone and length you want. Before sending, check dates and promises — AI tends to “round them off”.

Prompt
Here is the client’s email: [paste].
Write a reply on behalf of our company [name]: calm, respectful, without making excuses.
Acknowledge the problem, say what we will do and by what date ([date]), offer [compensation / nothing].
Up to 120 words, in English, formal tone. Signature at the end: [name, position, phone].
Quote · from a price list

A quote in a table in two minutes, with no made-up prices

Paste your price list and the client’s question. The most important line is the last one — “don’t make up prices that are not in the price list”: without it, AI will happily fill in the gaps itself.

Prompt
Our price list: [paste].
The client asks: [paste].
Prepare a quote in a table: item, quantity, price, amount, VAT 21%, total.
Below the table, three sentences: delivery time [..], payment [..], quote valid for 14 days.
Don’t make up prices or items that are not in the price list. If anything is missing, ask me.
Documents · contract

Read a contract before the lawyer does — and know what to ask the lawyer

Attach the file (PDF or Word) and ask for an explanation point by point, with quotes. AI is not a lawyer — but it helps you come to the lawyer with five specific questions, not with “could you check if everything is OK”.

Prompt
I am attaching a contract. Explain in plain words:
1) what I commit to, 2) what the other party commits to, 3) deadlines and penalties, 4) how the contract can be terminated,
5) five places that are unfavorable or unclear for me — quote the specific clause for each.
At the end, a list of questions I should ask a lawyer. Don’t make anything up — if it is not in the contract, say so.
Documents · meeting

Minutes from a meeting recording, with tasks and deadlines

Record the meeting on your phone, turn it into text (Google Recorder, Word dictation or the AI tool itself) and paste it in. Ask only for what is in the transcript.

Prompt
Here is the meeting transcript: [paste].
Write the minutes: participants; 5–7 main decisions; tasks in a table (who, what, by what date); unanswered questions.
Don’t add anything that is not in the transcript. If a task has no deadline or no person responsible, mark it with “?”.
Spreadsheets · Excel and Google

Tidy up a spreadsheet and understand what the numbers say

Attach an Excel or CSV file. First ask it to tidy up, then to calculate, then to explain. The last sentence — “where the data looks suspicious” — often finds a mistake you had not noticed yourself.

Prompt
I am attaching a spreadsheet with [sales by month / invoices / working hours].
1) Tidy it up: one date format, remove duplicates, remove empty rows.
2) Calculate: totals by month and by client; top 10 clients; clients who bought last year but not this year.
3) Draw a chart by month.
4) In five sentences, explain what the numbers say and tell me where the data looks suspicious.
Give me the tidied spreadsheet as a file.
Research · with sources

Competitors or suppliers — with links, not guesses

Turn on web search and ask for a source for every fact. The phrase “if you can’t find it, write ‘not found’” is what separates research from invention.

Prompt
Research [competitors / suppliers] in the field of [..] in Latvia.
For every fact, give the source (link) and the date it was published. If you can’t find something, write “not found” — don’t make it up.
At the end, a table: name, what they offer, price, strength, weakness, source.
To finish, three sentences: how we can stand out.
Your own assistant · Claude project

An assistant that knows your prices and answers the same way every time

Claude: create a project (Projects), add instructions and attach files — price list, terms, sample replies. ChatGPT: the same with a “custom GPT”. Sample instructions below.

Sample instructions
You are the assistant of the company [name]. We [what we do, for whom].
Always answer in English, simply, in a formal tone. Be brief, with no unnecessary introductions.
Prices, deadlines and terms are only in the files attached to the project — use only those.
If the answer is not in the files, say that it needs to be checked with [name], and don’t make it up.
Never promise discounts or deadlines that are not in the files.
Write quotes following the sample in the file [file name].
Presentation · from text

Eight slides from a page of text

Give it the text and rules on slide length. Then ask for an export to PowerPoint or Google Slides — most tools can do this.

Prompt
Make an 8-slide presentation from this text: [paste].
On each slide, a heading of up to 6 words and up to 3 points. On the first — what it is about and for whom. On the last — what we want the audience to do.
In English. Then give it to me as a PowerPoint file.
Security · what doesn’t go into a chat

Five things never to paste into AI

Personal ID codes and document numbers, card and account numbers, passwords and access keys, clients’ health data, salaries with names. Replace them with “[client A]” — the answer will be the same. And in the settings, turn off the use of your data for training.

Company rules on one page (sample)
Use of AI at [company name]
1. Allowed: writing and editing texts, tidying spreadsheets, searching for information, translating, drafting.
2. Not allowed to paste: personal ID codes, card and account numbers, passwords, health data, salaries with names, contracts with the client’s name without the manager’s knowledge.
3. Before sending to a client or submitting: a person checks numbers, dates, names and promises.
4. Accounts: company accounts only, with the use of data for training turned off in the settings.
5. If in doubt, ask [name].
Approved: [date, signature]
How to work · three habits

Start with one task, check the facts, leave the signature to a person

Don’t bring AI in “everywhere”. Choose one task that comes up every week and for two weeks do it only with AI. Check every number and date. Leave decisions and signatures to a person — AI prepares, you approve.

Prompt for choosing a task
Here is my usual working week: [list 10–15 tasks and how much time each takes].
Sort them into three groups: 1) what AI can do on its own, with me only checking; 2) where AI can help me prepare; 3) what is better to do myself.
For each task — one sentence on exactly how to do it with AI, and how much time it could save in a week.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need any prior knowledge?

No. We start from your level and go step by step.

What will I need?

A computer with internet access and a free Claude or ChatGPT account. We help you set one up.

Can AI make mistakes?

Yes. AI can confidently give a wrong number, date or fact. In the training we show where this happens most often and how to check an answer before you pass it on.

Do I have to use my own or my clients’ data?

No. You can learn with your own examples or with made-up data, whichever suits you. We show what never to put into AI: personal ID codes, card and account numbers, passwords and health data.

Where does in-person training take place?

At your place or in training rooms in Jaunā Teika, Riga. On Zoom — from anywhere.

How does payment work?

We agree on payment when we talk. We issue the invoice to a company or a private individual.
